This screenshot shows the game interface. As you can see, there are 4 tools for gameplay besides just chat section.

Health Bar:

The health bars shows players Nationality, Name, Career and level.
The Red bar: Health
The Blue bar: Initiative
The Green bar: Balance
Need some help? Don’t forget that the tool tips are meant to be used. Mouse over any UI element to see tips.
Radar:

Radar:
The radar is a compass that helps you to see what is in the area. The radar is labeled with the name of the port you inhabit, the affiliation of he port, and a list of who and what is around you.
The Local Map:
You can view the local map by pressing O. The local map gives you a view of your surroundings. Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out on both the Radar and Local Map.
Land Map Key:
Gold arrow - indicates where your avatar stands on the map
Blue Arrows - Players in your group
Stars - Important NPCs
Special - NPCs with special jobs (Harbor Master, etc.)
Buildings - Duh
Sea Map Key:
Green Triangle: your ship
Narrow Triangles: Other Ships (color indicates threat level)
Flags: ports
Outlined Ships: Targeted ship (turn on the hurt)
World Map:
Access the world map by pressing M. This will allow you to see a map of the whole Burning Sea.
Window Palette:

This is your main menu. That blue bar at the top is your XP. You can mouse over the bar to see how much XP you have accumulated. When you level, the blue bar will empty.

Each skill category has four different toolbars with 12 slots each. These are Swashbuckling, Sailing, Open Sea, and items. You can select different categories by using the drop down menu at the far right of the toolbar.
Each category has up to four additional toolbars for should your skills outnumber your slots. Cycle through the toolbars by clicking on the arrows to the right of the toolbar.
Click on the icon to activate the toolbar item. Shortcuts on the keyboard coordinate with the number keys from 1 to =. (11 is -, and 12 is =).
Customize your toolbars by selecting items from your inventory and dragging them into the toolbar.
